David Ruppert Obituary

David Andrew Ruppert

David Andrew Ruppert, born July 26, 1940 to Andrew & Ness Ruppert in St. Louis Missouri. His parents, brother Andrew and sister Mary are deceased. Living brother, Jim, and sisters Diane and Kathy all of St. Louis. He has many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He is the husband of Jean for 55 years, father of Dave, Christopher, and Charles. Father in law to Stacy. Grandfather to Austin, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Indy and Flash.

He got his B.S. in Forestry and Masters in Soil Science and Hydrology, from the University of Missouri. He worked for the Beaverheadeer lodge National Forest for 48 years. In those years he received many awards for his accomplishments. He belonged to the Elk Park Volunteer Fire Department and taught fire safety. He taught winter survival to 4-H members.

His celebration of life will be at 3:00 PM, July 28, 2024 at Maney Lake in Elk Park. (Take I15 north and exit at 138. Take a left and follow the road to the lake.) Dress casually for a family style picnic. Please feel free to bring your favorite dish. Chairs and blankets may also be a good idea.

Those stops at a bakery in Deerlodge before it was open for a dozen doughnuts and frequently burying his pocket knife in a soil pit.
Mary and I thank Dave and Jean for all they did for us.
