James Bury Obituary
Jim was a US Air Force veteran having served 24 years and attended Hope Fellowship Assembly of God in Slippery Rock. He worked as an auto mechanic at Butler Tires for Less. He loved watching sports and NCIS. Above all else he enjoyed spending time with family and his dog, Melek.
Survivors include wife, Sandy of Slippery Rock; daughter, Kayla (Nicole) Kashlak of Clintonville, PA; sons, James "J.J." Bury Jr. and Cody Bury both of Slippery Rock, PA; mother, Sharon Bury of Butte, MT; sister, Judi (Ed) O'Boyle of Walkerville, MT; brother, Louis "Butch" (Laurie) Bury Jr. of Rocker, MT and twin brother, Timothy Bury of Butte, MT; and granddaughter, Charlotte Morton of Clintonville, PA.
He is preceded in death by his father, and sisters, Janet Bury and Caron Smith.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Fellowship Assembly of God 411 N. Main St. Slippery Rock, PA 16057. There will be luncheon following the service at the church. Rev. David Richendrfer will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home of Slippery Rock.
