Larry Gene Walcker, age 69, passed away on November 20, 2021, at 6:30 a.m. in Butte, Montana. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in May 2019. He beat the cancer free, but passed away because of complications of the cancer.
He was born to Theodore R. Walcker and Irene M. Walcker (Schmidt) on March 16, 1952, in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. He grew up in Riverdale, North Dakota, and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1970.
He married Sandra L. Walcker on October 23, 2000, in Butte, Montana.
He was a carpenter (union) and worked in numerous cities and states, all over the U.S.
His hobbies included fishing, working around the house, and watching Westerns on television. His favorite place was Lake Sacajawea. His favorite fishing spots were Government Bay, Lake Sacajawea, Garrison Dam (Riverdale, North Dakota).
He is survived by his spouse, Sandra L. Walcker, children Travis Walcker and Jesse Walcker (North Dakota), step-children William E. Gelling Jr. and Mark Gelling (Butte) and Marie Fleming (Big Lake, Washington), his brother Gary Walcker of Winnemucca, Nevada (Sue), his sister Joyce Glaspey of Lignite, North Dakota (Mike), grandchildren Crosby Walcker and Logan Walcker (he loved them dearly), numerous nieces and nephews in North Dakota, Nevada, and Idaho, his previous wife, Nancy Walcker, numerous very, very close friends in North Dakota, and best friend, Dean Mehloff.
He was preceded in death by his brother (younger) Steven Walcker, father Theodore Walcker, and mother Irene Walcker, all from Riverdale, North Dakota.
