Michael James "Mickey" J. O'Sullivan, 44 died unexpectedly from a heart attack Tuesday evening, Aug. 17, 2006, at St. James Healthcare.

He worked as a psychiatric aid at Montana State Hospital for several years and as a bartender and cook at many Butte businesses including the Ponderosa and the Silver Dollar Saloon.

He loved to garden in the rocky Walkerville soils, once winning a gardening award. He was always up for fishing and camping trips, particularly in the Big Hole Valley. He loved and adopted many stray animals, including his beloved German shepherd, Gretchen.

Mick'O, You'll be missed!
Kathy, Joanne, and Maureen I am so sorry to hear of Mick's passing and for your loss. Mick was a good friend. We had so many good laughs over the years. I'll always remember him with a smile. He touched so many lives. He will be missed dearly, by all. God love him! We always laughed and repeated it, when he'd say that. Today, I mean it. GOD LOVE HIM. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry that such a beautiful spirit had to leave us so soon. The tragedies Mick endured wore him down I'm sure...but now he's free at last!! I love you, Mick-Oh, and wish you God's peace.

Mick was one of the most generous, caring and loving men I have ever known. He was always there for any one who needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh with. I pray he is rewarded in heaven for all the great and kind things he has done over his lifetime. I will never forget his many gifts to me and will love and miss him always.
