Barbara Jo (Havemann) Felton
July 30, 1946 - September 19, 2023
Barbara Jo (Havemann) Felton died peacefully in her sleep at age 77 following a second battle with cancer. The eldest child of Clayton and Ruth Havemann, Barb was a 1964 graduate of Muscatine High School.
She was an active member of the Muskie alumni network for the rest of her life and counted numerous classmates among her closest friends. Barb married Douglas Felton, a fellow Iowa native, in May 1979. Together, they built a beautiful life over the next 44 years, splitting time between Illinois and Florida residences in retirement.
Barb worked as a flight attendant for 42 years, traveling the world many times over. She was a long-time member of Baker Memorial Church in St. Charles, IL and volunteered with the Salvation Army during the Christmas season and at Florida pregnancy centers supporting single mothers. But, by far, her most important contributions were to her family as wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother; her four siblings: Charles, Carleton, Lloyd, and Lisa; her daughter-in-law, Nicole; her son, John; and her husband, Doug.
A memorial gathering will be held in Muscatine next summer. She will be missed beyond words, and the world is a significantly dimmer place without her in it.

Hi:) I am the daughter of Linda (Watters) Hildahl and Mike Rueckert. I came across this while searching for Barbara as she was a long time friend of my moms, dating back to high school. My heartfelt condolences to all of you. I heard many stories and good laughs of my mom´s and Barbara´s friendship throughout the years. I would love to know when the memorial service is this summer in Muscatine. In Sympathy, Anne (Rueckert) Peacock
