Deirdre Jean O'Neill
September 28, 1978-October 26, 2021
Deirdre Jean O'Neill, formerly of Muscatine, died this past Tuesday at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida following a long illness. She was 43 years old. Deirdre was born in Muscatine on September 28, 1978, and lived in town before moving to Kenosha, Wisconsin, during high school. She lived mostly in the Chicago area before leaving the midwest winters for good and moving to Florida 10 years ago.
Deirdre was an animal lover and worked various jobs in animal welfare, as well as being a caregiver. In her free time she enjoyed the sun and sand of Florida and enjoyed beachcombing as well as taking nice walks in the various area parks where she'd take pictures of all the alligators for her nieces.
Deirdre is preceded in death by mother, Nancy DiMaria, a maternal uncle, Bob Frankenberg, a paternal aunt, Peggy McCleary, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her father, Dennis (Carol) O'Neill, of Muscatine, her brother, Dennis (Maggie) O'Neill, her cherished nieces, Remy Bear and Rose Hudson, all of Woodstock, New York and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins everywhere. She will also be missed by her countless friends.
There will be a celebration of life party in Florida to celebrate her and all the people that played a significant part of her 43 years with us.

I wish I could have reconnected with Deirdre before she passed away. She was one of my closest friends in high school and my early 20s. I don't think she will ever know how much she truly meant to me and how much she effected my life simply by being my friend. The world is truly missing a beautiful soul.

I miss you my dear more than you could imagine... miss all the time we spent together - the last several years brought some great times and some tough times but I hope you know that thru it all I've always loved you, you're forever my Doll!

Deirdre was a sensitive beautiful caring soul. Maybe a little too sensitive for this harsh world. Rest easy my little dancing partner and know that there were, and are, people in the world who truly loved you. See you on the other side sweet Dee. Love, Marianne
