Mark Bush Obituary
Mark will be remembered as a loving presence pastorally and musically by all who knew him within the greater Muskegon Community and Camp Sunshine. Singing, playing guitar, listening to music, wood-working, fly-fishing, spending time on the waters of Muskegon River, the AuSable River, and Lake Michigan, grilling on the 'Big Green Egg', bird-watching, and significant time with dear friends and family positively consumed Mark's life. Mark's life is marked by endless gratitude and love for our community. His recent mantra was: "I am grateful. I am humble. I am loved".
Preceding Mark in death were his parents, brothers Randy and Jon Bush, sisters-in-law Sally, Beverly, and Deborah Baar. Continuing his legacy are his co-partner in marriage and ministry, Miriam Bush, children: Isaac (Matt Pascua), Hannah (AnnaLisa Reynolds) and Rebekah (Allen Taylor); and grandchildren: Aurora and Jade Taylor, Wren Bush, and anticipated Bush twins to arrive in 2026 and a multitude of extended family members and friends.
October 25, 2025 will be a remembrance service of gratitude for Mark's life at Covenant Community Church in Muskegon Heights at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Community Church, RCA, or Camp Sunshine.

Dear Mimi:
I was shocked and saddened to read of Mark´s passing.
Knowing you and Mark for decades
has truly been a blessing in my life.
What a wonderful marriage team and pastoral team you two have been.
And what a nice photo of a great person. Mark looks so reflective in that pose with his sweet smile.
I am reminded now of words from two of Shakespeare´s plays.
The first is from "Julius Caesar:"
"His life was gentle, and the elements so mixed in him that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, `This was a man.´"
The second excerpt comes from "Hamlet:"
"Good night, Sweet Prince. And may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."

I have carried Rev.Bush (my pastor in dark times) in my heart and prayers over the last couple of decades. His friendly, encouraging spirit continued to be a welcome light when I could no longer be in community. I believe he will always be a blessing in the memory and hearts of every life he touched.
