Gary Mitchell Obituary

Gary Irving Mitchell, 71, of Bellingham, WA, passed away on July 5, 2025. Born on February 25, 1954, Gary was known for his kind and caring nature, deeply touching the hearts of those around him with his warmth and generosity.

Gary cherished the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in fishing, gardening, and spending time with his beloved kitty, Syd. His love for his family and friends was evident in every aspect of his life, making lasting memories with all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his sisters, Sonja (Tom), Linda, Teresa, and Zoya (Dana); brothers, Frank (Beth) and John; and his cherished kitty, Syd. Gary also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss his presence dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay; father, Frank; sister-in-law, Sandy; and brothers-in-law, Todd and Terry.

A family picnic celebrating Gary's life, will be held at their favorite park where many great childhood memories were made. He will forever be in our hearts.

So sorry to hear of Garys passing. Many memories were made at 909 on the South Side. We played in the neighborhood almost daily. I'm lucky to still live2 doors way.
