Russell Paul Nielsen

Russell Paul Nielsen, age 67, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his Everson home. Russell was born December 19, 1957, in Bellingham, Washington, to parents Shirley YVonne Fuller Nielsen and Donald Paul Nielsen. Russell had worked in construction and operated heavy equipment for many years. He graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1976. Russell is survived by his son Kristofer Dana Nielsen, son Richard David Nielsen, and son Daniel Erik Nielsen (Deborah) and granddaughter Emily Leanne Nielsen of Sunnyside, Washington, and grandson Cole Daniel Nielsen of Lemon Grove, California. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Shirley YVonne Fuller Nielsen of Everson, WA; sister, Barbara Myhre of Lynden, WA; sister, VickiJo Lootens (John) of Nooksack, WA; aunt, Harriet Nielsen Howlett of Everson, WA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. At his request, there will be no services. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
