Steven Crowley Pierce

Steve passed away on May 7, 2025, in La Conner, WA. He survived a premature birth in Bellingham, WA, to John and Patricia Pierce on June 19th, 1959. He attended Sehome High School, Whatcom Community College, Western Washington University, and Skagit Community College. Steve was an AutoCAD instructor at Whatcom Community College from 1986 to 1988. "It was the only job I truly enjoyed," he was heard to say. He held a variety of engineering positions until his retirement in 2007. He loved living by the water and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the family property on Chuckanut Point, and on the various boats he owned, and finally, at his home in La Conner overlooking Skagit Bay. Steve was preceded in death by his father, John (Jack), in 2002, and his mother, Pat, in 2006. Steve leaves behind many friends who will miss him greatly. He is survived by his half-sister, Carol Catlin, of Huntsville, Texas, his half-brother, Daniel Petty, of Vancouver, Washington, and his cousin, Kathi Knowles, of Shoreline, Washington. It was Steve's wish to be cremated and interred with his grandparents, Orin and Maybell Crowley, at Greenacres Cemetery in Ferndale, Washington. At his request, no services were held.
