I am a better man for having known Al. His very good friend Paul Hayes of PM Realty in Point Beach introduced me when we met at Paul s office. Together they introduced me to their love of fishing and duck hunting. I cherish those memories now and forevermore.

So sad over the loss of my dear friend. So many happy memories of his days at The Bluffs. Grateful for the times spent more recently visiting with him over the last few years when traveling to NJ. Relieved that his suffering has ended and he is in the hands of the Lord. Deepest sympathy to his loving family. He will be missed always.

Your dad and grandfather was unforgettable. I had the fortunate opportunity to get to know him and patty both by doing business with him and sharing the pleasure of his company. He had great stories and loved his shooting and hunting. Of course we were able to relate.although he never convinced me to go pistol shooting with him. He was so proud of all of you. I will never forget him.

It was a pleasure knowing your dad. He was indeed one of a kind who had many great stories to tell. He loved his hunting and pistol shooting and was always trying to convince me to come to the club. And he was so proud of his family....even though he may not have told you... He told others. I will always remember him and Patty.

Remember "The Bear" from our high school days.... especially a long trip to Western Pa. to buy a car full of Rolling Rock and Iron City Beer. Lost touch after my military days but remember Al as if I saw him yesterday... a good man.... Dr. Ray Maestrelli, Col. USAF (ret)

My sincere Condolences to the Atheras Family. Al will be missed by many and especially me.
I first met Al when he was "Blue Pete" at the SASS Matches years back. We became close friends and I will miss his friendship and comradery for the many events we did together. From shooting - hunting and just sitting talking about subjects we both liked while having a drink or a meal together. I cherish the memories
May the Lord's Blessings be Bestowed on Al
