Andrew Marsh Obituary
AGE: 74 • Tinton Falls
Andrew Marsh Sr., 74, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday, June 1, 2012 at home in Tinton Falls. He was born in Newark, raised in Leonardo, and lived in Tinton Falls for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Leonardo High School. Andrew proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Andrew enjoyed scuba diving and was a raceboat driver.
He is predeceased by his parents Andrew A. Marsh and Esther Bastedo and his sister Judy. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years Marie Gualtieri Marsh of Tinton Falls, two sons Andrew Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA and James Arthur of Tinton Falls, five grandchildren, Amber Marie, Nicole Danielle, Lance Andrew, James Vincent, and Matthew; his great granddaughter Roxanne Nicole; brothers and sisters, Frances of Port Orchard, WA; and Mary Esther, Marion, and Wesley all of Glendale, AZ.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6 to 9 PM. Interment will remain private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Andrew's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. My condolence to Andy's family. Just found out about my ole friend Andy's death.Lots of fond memories of Andy and our excapades in and around Leonardo. He was one of my first friends when I moved to Leonardo in 1950. We were Jr. fireman, sea scout, boy scouts, and Church members together. Good bye is hard for me to say, so I'll just say "so long for now Butch" your long ago buddy

Marie, my condolence over the loss of Andrew. He was always a big part of my growing up years in Leonardo. My Dad and his father used to have some great conversations and laughs in my parents store "DODGE 'S". Andy seemed to have his Dad's sense of humor. So sorry to hear sad news.
