Anthony B. Palaia, 30, of Ocean Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, November 12, 2016. He was born in Long Branch and lived in Ocean Grove and Avon before moving to Ocean Township. He was a graduate of Ocean Township High School in 2005 where he played baseball and football and a graduate of Arizona State University in 2009 where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph J. Palaia in January 2016; his paternal grandparents, Senator Joseph and Wedell Palaia and his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Margaret Blanchard. Surviving are his wife, Aimee; mother and step-father, Joan and Thomas Tarantin; aunt, Denise Palaia; brothers and sister, Adrian Palaia, Lianna Tarantin and Eric Adams; uncle and aunt, Joseph and Judith Zanetti; step-mother Elizabeth Mackay; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Marilyn Gregorin, brother-in-law, Eric Gregorin and his 3 dogs, Buddy, Bandit and Bella. A special thank you to the staff at Jersey Shore University Medical Center Intensive Care Unit. Anthony's spirit will live on in the many lives he will touch through organ donation. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral service 10:30 am Friday at the funeral home followed by burial at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls.
