Barbara Howard Obituary
On Sunday, June 12, 2016 Barbara Ann (nee Ward) Howard age 75 of Swanton, MD, formerly of Cockeysville, MD. Beloved wife of "Jack" H. Howard, Jr. of 59 years; devoted mother of Patricia A. Banister and her husband Kevin, David E. Howard and his wife Jesica, Cynthia L. Gomez and her husband Rafael and the late Charles H. Howard, Sr. and his wife Terri; sister of Diana Lovenstein, Rosalie Lohr, Mary Friedline and the late Irene Ward. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the family owned Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 on Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 18 beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family through www.peacefulalternatives.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Howard was a wonderful, lovely person. I remember visiting her house often to see my best friend, Cindy, and she was always so funny and welcoming. She was so patient with us as we did crazy girl stuff and made huge cakes for our marching band cake competitions!! She always treated me like family, and she will be greatly missed. I hope the family is able to find comfort and peace in memories of her. Prayers to you all!

Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She has left a legacy specially to her husband children and family. Her thoughts, teachings, support and courage will be part of their life. We will miss Barbara, she touched so many of us in such a special way. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of sorrow.
