Celeste Loreti, age 88, passed away at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 with her children by her side. Born December 1, 1925 in Monteverde (Providence of Avellino), Italy. She lived in Monteverde until 1967 when she and her deceased husband, Rocco moved with their family to North Plainfield, NJ to give their children better opportunities. Celeste was a dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church and devoted to Saint Gerard Maiella. Celeste was devoted to her family and loved to cook. She had a beautiful soul and was known for her selflessness and generosity that will be missed by those who loved her. She loved being surrounded by her family, grandchildren and friends.

Celeste is predeceased by her husband Rocco Loreti. Survivors include her five children Maria Massari and her husband Bernard Massari (Scotch Plains, NJ), Michael Loreti and his wife Rosemary Loreti (Milford, NJ), Danny Loreti and his wife Regina Loreti (Doylestown, PA), Lena Schreiber (North Plainfield, NJ), and Richard Loreti and his wife Alessandra Loreti (Watchung, NJ). Along with her children, Celeste is also survived by her grandchildren which were her pride and joy. Rocco Loreti 29, Danielle Loreti 26, Brandon Loreti 22, Andrew Schreiber 20, Arionna Loreti 16, and Alessia Loreti 12.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069, a Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's RC Church, 40 Jackson Avenue in North Plainfield, NJ 07062. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to: The American Cancer Society, P.O.
