CORA M. TESAURO
AGE: 88 SOMERVILLE
Cora M. (Haver) Tesauro, 88, entered into eternal life on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Raritan Health & Extended Care Center in Raritan Borough. Born in Plainfield, NJ, to her late parents Russell and Florence (Vliet) Haver, she was a resident of Somerville most of her life. Cora was a graduate of Dunellen High School. In 1986, Cora retired as an accounting clerk for Research-Cottrell in Bridgewater after 35 years of dedicated employment. After retirement Cora devoted her life to service, volunteering for Deborah Hospital, American Red Cross, the Women's Closet, and Somerville Senior Citizens Housing, where she lived for 17 years, and which earned her the NJ Community Spirit Tenant of Year Award in 2000. Into her eighties, Cora worked for HomeSharing, Inc., a job she truly enjoyed. Her caring for others was always evident in everything she did.
Cora leaves behind her loving and devoted sons and daughters-in-law: Ralph and Linda Tesauro of Flemington and Wayne and Sandy Tesauro of Tenmile Lake, OR; five dear siblings: Virgi nia Risley of Ambler, PA, Dorothy Burgess and her husband George of Port St. Lucie, FL, Elsie Kane of Napa, CA, Russell Haver and his wife Gerry of High Point, NC, and Gerald Haver and his wife Linda of Sunnyvale, CA. She will be deeply missed by her cherished grandson Jason and by many adored nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Cora's life will be held at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, July 22, from 10:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare, 575 Woodland Ave., Madison, NJ 07940 or visit www.st.huberts.org to donate online.
