I am so sad to read that my Aunty Eve has transitioned. She was someone whom my father and mother, who died respectively in 2011 and 2019, both held dear and I was always inspired by her sense of adventure, entrepreneurial genius, and celebration of Africa. Yvonne, I'll try to find you. I miss you and regret losing touch with such a close friend. I'll never forget Aunty Eve's warm hospitality, wise, down-to-earth advice to me when I was a young woman, and her empowering mothering of her daughters. The world is richer because of her life.

To Renee Bridges & Family, Your Mother Mrs. Bridges was an very educated women who enlightened the children in Rahway about the struggles of the black race. The Bridges book store was a very important place to get knowledge and she would help you to find the answer you were looking for. The City of Rahway had a very special gem. My prayers are with your entire family.

Growing up in Rahway I looked forward to when I needed a greeting card or a book by a black author or i fo on Black history, I would visit Bridges book store. Mrs. Bridges was always there and if she did not have what you were looking for she would order it for you. Mrs. Bridges was a vital part of Rahway's history.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Eva. But God is good and he promises that he will help us to endure these times of Sorrow. Psalms 46 verse 1 is most encouraging. It reads: God is our refuge and strength a help that is readily found in times of distress.
