Frances Mistretta Obituary
AGE: 89 • Monroe Twp.
Frances R. (Garramone) Mistretta, 89, died on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Frances was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Florida before moving to Monroe Twp. in 2013. She was employed as a bank manager for Anchor Bank in Brooklyn. Frances was very creative and enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting. She was a wonderful cook and baker for her family and friends. She loved sewing and used to sew her children's wardrobes. She enjoyed bowling and exercised every day. Frances was a Eucharistic Minister and was involved with Helping Hands at a Hospice facility while living in Florida. She was well-loved by many and considered to be a very loving, caring person, unique in her compassion for others above her own needs.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Rosario M. Mistretta (2013) and her brother Thomas Garramone.
She is survived by her son Peter and his wife Debra of Livingston, two daughters: Marie Mistretta of New Hyde Park, NY and Vanessa Mistretta and Howard Sayes of Brooklyn, NY and two grandchildren: Alec and Kylie of Livingston.
Visitation will be 6-9pm on Thursday June 18, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555 - www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday June 19, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - Monroe Twp. followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum - South Brunswick.
