Frank Roda

Freehold - Frank M. Roda, 54, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, February 5th in Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Staten Island, Frank was a 1984 graduate of Susan Wagner High School. He moved to New Jersey in 2003. Frank was a supervisor on the Staten Island Ferry for more than 35 years. He was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena in Farmingdale. He valued his family above everything; he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, martinis, motorcycles, music, dancing and big Sunday dinners. Frank was predeceased by his father, Joseph. He is survived by his mother, Marianne; his partner Maureen DeCarlo; his former wife, Dawn; his sons and daughters in law, Joseph & Emma; and Frank, Jr. & Sarah; his daughters Lauren and Dawn Marie; his siblings Joseph and his three daughters, Francine her three daughters and one son, John his wife Trisha and their two daughters and one son, and Marianne her husband Louis and their two daughters and one son.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. There will be a funeral liturgy at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Frank was fun-loving and the life of any party. He was genuine and caring. His jokes and funny skits would always result in fits of laughter. He was a character of the finest kind.

Rest in peace dear cousin. We will miss you for the rest of our lives.

My cousin , my friend . A man of sincere goodness . He lit up a room with his personality ! Though we lived 1500 miles apart , we shared a lot of time together and I considered him a close cousin . My kids even called him Uncle Frank . My sadness will last a lifetime until we embrace again in Heaven . My love and prayers for his family , Maureen his loving partner, and all who are mourning that God will comfort and give strength .
