James Lewis Obituary
Born Jan. 2, 1941, in Cleveland, Mr. Lewis had worked as an associate for North Coast Wood Products in Mentor for several years. Before that, Mr. Lewis was employed by several large commercial and residential builders in Northeast Ohio.
Mr. Lewis had attended Mentor High School and was a former member their football and track and field teams, where he excelled. He loved his animals, working on various home projects and his hobby of ever-changing collection of automobiles, and he was an avid fan of NASCAR.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Lewis of Newport Beach, Calif.; sons, David Lewis of Huntington Beach, Calif., and James Lewis of Ocean Beach, Calif.; brother, Richard Lewis of Willoughby; and sister, Nancy (Bob) Sandman of Mentor.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Robb); and parents, Ralph and Marion Lewis.
A celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. The family will receive friends following the service in the Brunner Reception Center located on the Brunner Campus.
