Gloria M. Bindewald, 88, of Riverton, formerly of Millville and Woodbridge, died on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Riverview Estates in the Baptist Home of SJ. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Bindewald had lived in Millville for over 30 years, where she worked as a personnel manager for K-Mart in Vineland. She was very active in her church, The Central Baptist Church, where she served on several different committees. Mrs. Bindewald was also very active in her community, serving as a volunteer for the following: Cumberland County Hospice, Port Norris and Millville Senior centers and the Bridgeton Library. She taught arts & crafts and also was a tutor in reading. Her hobbies included: reading, needlepoint, knitting, crocheting and she was an avid and skilled pinochle player.

She is survived by a son, Dennis Bindewald (Vivian) of W. Va.; daughter, Gloria Siepmann (Robert) of Edison; brother, Edward Schafer of TN and sister, Irene Olsen of Millville; 4 grandchildren, Robert & James Siepmann, Christopher Bindewald and Connie Blizzard; 4 great grandchildren, Joshua & Matthew Siepmann, Courtny Bindewald and Lucian Blizzard; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: parents, Edward & Charlotte (Cox) Schafer; husband, LeRoy; brothers, George, Fred and Reverend Charles Schafer; sisters, Charlotte Larsen, Lois Mason and Janet Keeler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 11AM in the Central Baptist Church, 9 N. 2nd St., Millville, NJ 08332, where friends may call from 10 AM in the church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to The Baptist Home, 303 Bank Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077.
