I met Jim at a computer timesharing company called ITEL in Edison NJ in about 1978 or so, where Jim was a systems programmer, and I was a customer service representative. I asked Jim a lot of questions about systems programming, and he noticed I liked to debug our customer's computer programs, so when Jim changed jobs and started to work for American Hoechst, he put in a good word for me, and got me a job there. When we both worked at American Hoechst, Jim always made time for me, and coached me in my new job. I will never forget Jim's kindness.

I first met Jim when I worked with him back in 1978 and it was impossible not to like him. He and I quickly became close friends and spent quite a lot of time together during the time we worked together.

We fell out of touch after we both took other jobs, and while I did have the good fortune to run into him in a shop, our schedules seemed to be such that we continued to drift apart.

I'll always remember Jim as one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to know. He was a hard worker, yet he always found time to make the people around him smile.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our loss.
