James Pucciarello Obituary
Greentown, PA - It is with great sadness that the family of James Pucciarello announces his passing on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the age of 71 years. His wife of 50 years, Kathleen, daughter & spouse Christine Pucciarello & Robert Kobrzynski, daughter & spouse Jeanette & Donnie Fross and son Vincent Pucciarello, will lovingly remember James. He will also be fondly remembered by his one precious grandchild, Matthew (nicknamed 'Stormy'), brother Joseph Pucciarello & Arleen Balaskiewicz, brother-in-law & spouse David & Susan Drillock and brother-in-law John Drillock. Parents Mary & Joseph Pucciarello, brother Salvatore and sister Jo Ann predecease him.
James was born in Newark, NJ and had resided in Sayreville, NJ before moving to Greentown, PA nine years ago. Before his retirement, he was the owner of J.P. Fabricators in Sayreville and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 22 in Garwood. He was a proud Navy veteran of the Vietnam War serving on the naval ship USS Constellation of the U.S. Seventh Fleet. He was Central Vice Chairman of Membership for the American Legion Department of Pennsylvania, a member of the Honesdale V.F.W. Post 531, The American Legion Post 859, Newfoundland, PA, Disabled American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans of America.
James was an avid racing pigeon flyer for 60 years belonging to the MRC Racing Club in Sayreville, NJ. In retirement, James was an avid outdoorsman seeking out trophy fish on local lakes & streams while enjoying multiple rounds of golf at local Pennsylvania courses. He was extremely proud of his children's accomplishments and was recently going to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary with his beautiful wife Kathleen.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m., at Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, by Reverend Richard W. Beck, 314 Chestnut Avenue, Hawley, PA 18428. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of James to The Scholarship Endowment Fund for the American Legion of Pennsylvania https://pa-legion.com/committee/scholarship-endowment-committee/
A second memorial mass, for friends and family from New Jersey who cannot visit in Pennsylvania, will be held on Friday April 6th 12noon in Our Lady of Victories Church 42 Main Street, Sayreville NJ 08872. .
