Joseph Gardner Obituary
AGE: 49 • Brick
Joseph A. Gardner, 49, of Brick, passed on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Staten Island before moving to Brick 16 years ago. Joseph was a Information Technology Director for Met Life Insurance Co, Somerset for 15 years. He was a parishioner of St Dominic R.C. Church, Brick. Joseph was involved with his four boys, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Bernardo) Gardner; his sons, Justin, Brandon, Dylan & Evan, all at home; his parents, Robert & Josephine of Bay Ridge Brooklyn, NY; his brother, Robert Gardner Jr.; and sisters, Debra Fadel and Gina Gardner, all of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Gardner boys would be appreciated. www.silvertonmemorial.com

Joe will be missed by everyone that he has ever met. He was the nicest guy that one could have ever met. I always enjoyed talking to Joe while we both watched our kids playing and practicing sports. He enjoyed his children and was one of the best fathers that I have met. He would bring me coffee while we watched indoor soccer practice (when both of our sons were playing on the same team); I would always thank him and say "I'll get the next one" and next week he would show up with more coffee. He was a great guy. I will miss seeing him and his big smile. I'm sorry beyond words. My sincere condolences to Linda and the boys. He will surely be missed by everyone. He is now watching them with pride as he did a great job showing them the proper way to live.
