AGE: 87 MANVILLE
Joseph A. Huddock, 87, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Sunrise at Floral Vale in Yardley, PA with his family by his side. Born in Somerville to his late parents Michael and Catherine (Grabash) Huddock, he was raised in Somerville and had been a resident of Manville since 1941. Joseph retired in 1981 from the United States Postal Service Supply Depot located in Somerville where he had been employed as a warehouseman for over thirty years. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy Armed Guard after faithfully serving his country as a Petty Officer during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2290 in Manville and a member of the American Legion Post #12 in Somerville.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by two sisters, Ann Konopka and Marie Grabowy; and by his brother, John Hudak. Joseph leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Helen (Fedyna) Huddock, with whom he joined hands in marriage on August 15, 1946; by his loving children; daughter, Patricia Ann Lewis of Yardley, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Cindy Huddock of San Diego, CA; a dear brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Nickey Huddock of Manville; and his cherished granddaughter, Erin J. Huddock of San Diego, CA.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, beginning 10:00am at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835, with Fr. Ed Cimbala of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough officiating. Joseph will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 4-8pm and on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 9:00am until service time.
