Karen Biermann Obituary
AGE: 52 • Jackson
Karen R. Biermann, 52, of Jackson, passed away Thursday January 5, 2017 after fighting her courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Clinton, Iowa and resided in Jackson, NJ. Karen worked as an "Orthodontic Assistant " for Kevin Lang DMD, Ocean Twp.. She graduated Neptune High School Class of 82, and also attended Monmouth Vocational School of Dental.
She was predeceased by her father Richard A Biermann, grandparents Walter & Daisie Biermann and Robert & Lillian Krebs. Surviving are her mother Carolyn ( Krebs) Biermann, brothers Ken ( Cherie) of Brick, Kevin of Neptune; sister Joan Buono (Mike) of Howell ; longtime companion Edward Hamann; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks to the Ovarian Cancer Support Group at JSUMC for taking such good care of Karen.
Visitation will be held Monday Jan. 9,2017 from 5-8pm at Francioni, Taylor & Lopez Funeral Home, 1200 10th Ave, Neptune. A 10am funeral mass will be held Tues. Jan. 10,2017 at Holy Innocents Church, Neptune. Internment of follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to JSUMC,Foundation Hope Tower 1345 Campus Parkway, Suite A2, Neptune 07753.

I will never forget Karen and all the happy times we shared on High Street. It's the everyday simple moments that I will keep close, the easy and sometimes funny conversations and how we enjoyed each other's company. I will always recall her hard fought battle with cancer, her dedication to her job and her loving family and their support all though the tough times. Karen was a wonderful person who lived her life with a quiet grace. I will miss you friend.

Karen and I went to school together and worked together for Dr. Schachter and Dr. Lang. We had a blast watching the season finale of M*A*S*H at her house and lots of laughs riding around in her Ford Escort!! Although I have not seen her in many years, the memories are very real and happy. May God bless your family and loved ones and hope they are at peace knowing she is no longer suffering. Rest In Peace

I have known Karen through my daughter Connie Chisholm, who has been Karen's friend and neighbor for many years. I will always remember Karen's sweet nature, lovely personality and courage during her long and painful struggle with cancer. My sincere regrets to all the family and friends Karen leaves behind. She is now safely at peace resting in the arms of Jesus.
