Kathleen R. Costigan (Dier), 57, of Brick, passed away on Thursday, September 25 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, with her family by her side. She was born on December 21, 1956 in Danville, NY and lived in Clifton, Glendola and Spring Lake Heights. She was a graduate of Wall High School Class of 1974. She cared for many children from 1978 to 1999 at her home in Spring Lake Heights. From 1999 to 2014, Kathi was a nanny for 2 wonderful girls, who were like daughters to her. She and her husband moved to Brick in 2006. She loved to travel, especially cruise and went on 14 cruises with her husband.

She is predeceased by her mother, Norma 1976, her father Joseph and her maternal grandparents Walter and Helen. She is survived by her husband, Michael of 39 years, her daughter Meredith and her grandson Xander of Brick; her brothers Keith Dier, Mark Dier and Hugh James and his wife Kristine Dier and her sister Susanne Dier. Kathi was also loved by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per her wishes, cremation was private and no services were held. She loved the summer and being by her pool, so next summer a memorial party will be held in her honor.
