Marie Salvatore Obituary
AGE: 88 • South Plainfield
Marie Salvatore, 88, of South Plainfield passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
She was born in Newark, and resided in Metuchen for many years before moving to Port St. Lucie FL, in 1995. Marie moved to South Plainfield in 2007. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen. She was worked in the cafeteria at Metuchen High School for 30 years, retiring in 1994.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Icinio died in 2006. She was also predeceased by a brother Larry Rizzo.
She is survived by sons Dennis Salvatore and his wife Sharon of Fernandina Beach FL, Alan Salvatore and his wife Laurie of South Plainfield, Peter Salvatore and his wife Michele of Edison; sisters Ida Sinato of Manchester, Mickey Rizzo of North Brunswick; brothers Adolph Rizzo of Cape Coral, FL, Samuel Rizzo of Plano, TX; her grandchildren Diana Le, Anthony & Vincent Salvatore, Bryan & Brittney Vogt; and a great-granddaughter Gabriella Le. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen.
Services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 9:45 AM from the Funeral Home followed a 10:15 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery in East Hanover. To send condolences please visit costello-runyon.com.
