Mark Conlin Obituary
North Brunswick - Mark J. Conlin, Jr., formerly of North Brunswick, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his home in Asbury Park. He was 43.
Born in Flushing, NY, he moved to North Brunswick in 1983. He was a 1992 graduate of North Brunswick High School. He received his BS in Sociology from Rutgers University. He played soccer in high school and for William Patterson University.
Mark worked for Xerox Corporation in NYC. Previously he had worked on Wall Street.
A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed hiking, fishing, skiing and bicycling. Mark twice climbed to the summit of Mt. Rainer.
Surviving are his parents Mark and Kathleen (Brady) Conlin of North Brunswick; his son Brady Conlin of Staten Island; his sister Katie Conlin of North Brunswick; his maternal grandfather William Brady of Whitestone, NY; his nephew Brendan; his aunts and uncles - Susan and Bryan, Ann and Jack, Billy and Ann Marie; Jimmy, Bobby and Suzanne, Maureen and Jack, Dennis and Sandra, John and Maxine, Paul and Margie; Gerard, and Peter and Lori; and several cousins.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, April 14th, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 1740 US-130, North Brunswick. Cremation will be private. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, and Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Brady Conlin Educational Trust Fund. You may sign the online obituary "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Conlin family. I along with my children who had the opportunity to meet Mark and Brady a few years back are deeply saddened by his passing. He had a good heart and a generous soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Mark was in JFK with my husband in October of 2009. He was a very caring and sweet person. Mark looked after my husband and made sure he was comfortable, especially at night when the hospital was short staffed. Mark kept in touch with my daughter and me through the years, and we have always had a special place in our hearts for him. We were all very saddened to hear of his passing. Our deepest sympathies to the family.

Dearest Mark, Kathy , and Family,
When I found out about this tragedy, I was overcome with shock and then extreme sadness. I think back to the very first day of Mark's life when Mark Sr. and all of his teammates were in Hawaii preparing for a game. What a joyful day that was and how we all celebrated together.
Today, those very same people who celebrated are here to tell your all how much we love you and how much we will be there for you in the coming days ahead. We all mourn with you today and we all pray for you as well.
May God touch you all and provide you with the strength to always cherish his memories and his incredible gifts. He will always live in our hearts.

Dear Kathleen, Mark and Family,
Patty and our sons Michael and James want you to know that you are all in our prayers. I remember with great joy the exact day in November 1974 when my roommate, Mark, received word that Kathleen had given birth to Mark Jr. All of Mark's teammates gathered to celebrate on a balcony overlooking Diamondhead volcano. A special day indeed.
It is very hard to contrast that with the severe sadness I feel today.
I am sure, however, that Mark and Kathleen and all of us who love them can, and will, find comfort in our faith and in all the proud and happy memories of Beloved Mark Jr.
