Nicholas Hudanish Obituary

Nicholas T. Hudanish

AGE: 24 • Point Pleasant

Nicholas T. Hudanish, 24, of Point Pleasant, N.J. died November 24, 2016 in Winter Springs, Florida. He was born December 30, 1991 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, N.J. the son of Thomas P. Hudanish Jr. and Kerry (Ward) Hudanish. He attended Point Pleasant schools and graduated with honors from Point Pleasant Boro High School in 2010, where he was a member of the Key Club, Jazz Ensemble, National Honor Society, and Football team all four years. He received the Who's Who for Middle School Students and was an All Shore Scholar Athlete in Football. He attended Rutgers University 2010-2015 majoring in Psychology, and a member of the Delta Phi Fraternity.

Nicholas was a creative and talented young man. He had a love of learning and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. His interest in classic cars kept him busy working on his friends cars and remodeling his own 1986 Monte Carlo. He was a gifted musician and singer who could play the piano, keyboards, bass, and electric guitar. He could listen to a song and play it back without seeing the music, and loved jamming with his friends. His YouTube videos show how talented he truly was and his outstanding musicianship. He achieved a dream this summer by performing on stage at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. His smile and laugh was infectious and his warmth and kindness affected all who had the opportunity to get to know him.

He worked security during the summers for Jenkinsons and Martells on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. before being employed by AmeriCorp Vista Program as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator at the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center in Perth Amboy, N.J.

Nicholas is survived by his parents Thomas Hudanish,Jr., Perth Amboy, Kerry Hudanish and brother Zachary of Point Pleasant; his paternal grandmother Concetta Hudanish; his aunts and uncles Sean and Kelly Ward, Jeffrey and Melissa Hudanish; cousins Bridget, Shannon, Tara, Megan, Erin, Madison, Jeremy, and the rest of his family and loving friends. I received a flyer about the Nicholas Hudanish Foundation at Stop & Shop last week. Normally, I would just throw it out when I got home, but something told me to see what it was.

I'm so glad I did and I am so sincerely sorry for your loss. I have a son Nick's age and I feel this in my heart. Sending your family much love and healing light, and more love.
PS. He has the most beautiful eyes :-)

Although you don't know me, Nick was good friends with my nephew Jack Kulesza. He came over the house many times. He was always so sweet and courteous and genuine. A very handsome sensitive young man. My mother who was in her 90s at the time adored him. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you and your family. Prayers being said.

Kerry ...What a wonderful, caring son you raised .. my heart breaks for you as this is the worst thing for a mom to endure . Your parents were my teachers in high school and we all loved them ... especially your mom ...he seems to have had a very successful, happy life. Zachary, cherish the happy memories you have ..I'm sure he was the best brother ever !

My heart is with the Hudanish family. I am deeply saddened to read that Nick is no longer with us. My son Chris was very good friends with Nick many years ago. I remember him as a sweet sensitive boy, and was so happy that my son had found such a good friend. Rest easy, Nick.
