Phyllis Sabo, 91, of Woodbridge passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in Bethlehem, PA, Phyllis later called Woodbridge her home which is where she resided for many years. Phyllis was a devoted communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge and was also a member of many clubs and groups around town including St. James Alter Rosary Society, Eucharistic Ministry and the Bereavement Program. She was also a Catholic Daughter, a member of the St. James Choir, a member of the Woodbridge AARP and Woodbridge Seniors and also volunteered her time at St. James School and Raritan Bay Medical Center.

Phyllis is predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Bertalan Sabo along with five siblings, Carmella Tryba, Judy Sneed, Weston Curto, Matthew Curto and Anthony Romeo. Surviving are three children, Mary Warner and her husband Ron of Michigan, Brian Sabo and his wife Jacki of California and Elena Faiello and her husband Peter of Fords, NJ. Also surviving are three siblings, Frances Brown, Ann Kulick and John Romeo; three grandchildren, Aaron Warner, Gabrielle Sobreiro and Anthony Faiello along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10th at 9:30am from the Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge followed by a 10:00am Mass of Resurrection at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge followed by interment at Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9th from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
