Robert Holub Obituary
AGE: 74 • Hillsborough
Hillsborough - Robert C. Holub, Sr., 74, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville with his loving family at his side. Born in Bound Brook to his late parents Joseph and Lena (Lopa) Holub, he was a resident of Middlesex for forty years prior to moving to Hillsborough in 2007.
An honorably discharged veteran, Robert proudly served our country in the United States Army. After many years of employment as a welder with Komline-Sanderson located in Peapack, he retired in 2003. Robert loved being outdoors fishing and hunting and traveling with his family. He enjoyed his time at the Jersey Shore and watching Nascar, but his favorite pastime was spending his time with his four adored grandchildren. He was a member of the Bound Brook American Legion and attended mass at St. Joseph Parish Community in Hillsborough. He is predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Joseph and his sister Beverly. Robert leaves behind his loving family: wife Linda (Heller) Holub, son Robert Holub, Jr. and his wife Patricia of North Plainfield, daughter Laura Schneider and her husband Frank of Hillsborough, brother Fred Holub and his wife Carol of Bound Brook and four cherished grandchildren, Brianna, Nicholas, Alexandra and Joseph.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, held in the Parish Community of St. Joseph's Church, 34 Yorktown Road, Millstone Borough, Hillsborough, NJ 08844 on Thursday, May 28, 2015 beginning 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to be sent to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) and American Heart Association (www.heart.org.)
