ROBERT A. HOPPE
AGE: 60 FRENCHTOWN
Robert A. Hoppe, 60, of Frenchtown, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at his residence. Born June 22, 1949 in Elizabeth, NJ, Robert lived in Morris Plains before moving to Frenchtown in 1984. He graduated from Plainfield High School and from the University of Miami with a degree in accounting. He was a senior accountant at Stires Associates in Somerville, NJ for many years, he also worked at the Philip J. Levin and Affiliated Co. in Middlesex and Sisser Brothers United Van Lines in Bridgewater. Robert enjoyed model trains, fast cars, boating, fishing and was an avid chess player.
Son of the late Albert and Helen Hoppe, Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Donna E. Hoppe; brother, Stephen Hoppe; niece, Sheri Barth and her children; and his cats Georgie and Sassy. He was predeceased by his brother Richard A. Hoppe.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 23, 2010 at 2 PM at the Frenchtown United Methodist Church, 16 Third Street, Frenchtown, NJ 08825. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Milford, NJ 08848. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frenchtown United Methodist Church, 16 Third Street, Frenchtown, NJ 08825 or to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
