It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Morrison announces his passing on September 4, 2011 at the age of 83. Bob was born in West New York, NJ on January 19, 1928. He lived in Walden and Newburgh, NY and then moved to Woodbridge, NJ in 1982. Bob's love for helping others and volunteering was evident when he led the development of the Walden Ambulance Corp. Bob was employed by the NY Central Railroad and later became the NY City district manager for GRS, before retiring. He was a member and former commodore of Raritan Yacht Club, Perth Amboy.

Bob is predeceased by a sister, Emma Couse, in 1994; and a son, Michael Morrison, in 1998. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Eileen Popko Morrison; five daughters, Kathleen Drennen, Patricia Dennis and Barbara Morrison, of Avondale, AZ, Eileen Belzer and Maureen Leggitt, of Glendale, AZ; two sons, Thomas Morrison, of Long Beach, CA and William Morrison, of Independence, KY; a sister, Agnes Gilbertsen, of Wilmington, NC; his former wife, Margaret Morrison, of Avondale, AZ; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice in Robert's memory.
