Robert Pace Obituary
AGE: 86 • Carteret
Robert J. Pace 86, of Carteret, died on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at RWJU Hospital at Rahway. He was born in Rahway and lived in Elizabeth before moving to Carteret. He retired from Elizabethtown Gas Co., where he worked for 35 years as a Meter Reader. Robert was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family R.C. Church in Carteret, where he was an usher, member of the Holy Name Society and member of the Divine Mercy Seniors. He was also a member of the Carteret Neighborhood Watch. Robert was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Panama as a cook.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marion Pace, who died in 2012. Robert is survived by his daughter, Dianne Vojtko and her husband, John of Beachwood, NJ; his son, Robert S. Pace of York, Pa; his five grandchildren, John, Matthew, Lauren, Megan and Kirsten; and his cousin, Lois Tanzi of Colonia.
The Funeral will be on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret. Mass will be at 10 AM at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family R.C. Church in Carteret, followed by Entombment at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
