Ronald Safar Obituary
AGE: 70 • Toms River
Ronald Safar, 70, of Toms River, passed away on Friday, October 24th, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River with his family by his side. Ron was born on March 12, 1944 and was raised in Rahway. He lived in Somerset and Old Bridge prior to moving to Toms River in 2009. He was a Navy Veteran and worked for Suburban Transit and retired from Rutgers University in 2009. Ron was an avid fisherman and boat owner. He was predeceased by his mother Grace Safar in 1988.
Surviving are his loving wife Arleen Lennon, son Ronald Safar of Dunellen, two grandchildren Ronald and Stephanie of Dunellen, sister Marguerite Peguero and husband Gabe of Toms River and his beloved dog Chloe.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 26th, 2014 from 2-6pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Service will be offered on Monday October 27th, 2014 at 11am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. Cremation will be private. Ron always called me the Sea Hag but it was always said with love. I will miss our fishing trips. He was a good friend to both Harry and I and I will always remember him. He has gone to the great fishing spot in the sky. Rest in Peace.
