Roy Doctofsky Obituary
AGE: 86 • Marlboro
Roy S. Doctofsky, 86, of Marlboro passed away on August 2, 2015. He was a Perth Amboy native and resided there through high school. He raised his family in Holmdel and has resided in Marlboro for the last 9 years. He graduated from Rutgers College of Pharmacy in 1951. Roy was the proud owner of Publix Pharmacy in Woodbridge from 1948 to 1996.
He was a member of Congregation Shaarey Tefiloh, Perth Amboy, and a Trustee of the Board of Directors and Trustee Emeritus at JFK Medical Center, member of the Woodbridge Elks, Rotary Club, Jaycees, American Pharmacy and the Jewish War Veterans. During the Korean War, he served in the US Army Medical Service in Frankfurt, Germany
Roy was predeceased by his wife, Maureen (Englander) in 2008, his brother Daniel and sister, Diane Greenspan. Surviving are his daughters, Susan Harrison and her husband Bradley of Marlboro, Debbie Solomon and her husband Murray of Scotch Plains, his grandchildren, Lauren, Samantha, Jacquelyn Harrison, Hannah, Arielle Solomon, his sisters, Rita Kagan, Nancy Okun and many nieces and nephews
Funeral Services will be held 10 AM on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
