SAMUEL L. GENARO
AGE: 87 FORMERLY OF PERTH AMBOY
Samuel L. Genaro, 87, of Jacksonville, FL, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center South, Jacksonville FL. He was born in Garfield, NJ and was formerly of Jacksonville, FL and Perth Amboy and Monmouth Jct, before moving back to Jacksonville to stay. He was employed as a Traveling Operator with P.S.E.& G. of New Brunswick for 30 yrs. before retiring in 1980. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in both WWII and and the Korean War.
He is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy V. Genaro who died in 1982. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Arlene Stevens and her husband Robert, and Mary Ann Lochamy and her husband Steve, all of Jacksonville, FL; his 4 sons, Dennis Bruno and his wife Patricia of Jacksonville, Fla., Gary Bruno and his wife Karol, of Port Reading, Allan Bruno and his wife Mary-Anne and Robert Bruno and his wife Marina, all of Jacksonville, FL; his 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and his brother, Michael Genaro and sister, Sarah Wissing both of Toms River.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visitation will be on Thursday November 12, 2009, from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the River Garden Hebrew Home, 11401 Old St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258.
