Shawn English Obituary
South Plainfield - Shawn C. English, 46, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack.
Shawn was born in Plainfield and was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield.
He attended the former Sacred Heart School in South Plainfield and graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1992.
Proud of his Irish heritage, Shawn was an avid Jets fan. He enjoyed playing lacrosse, going to the beach and spending time with his family and friends.
To say Shawn will be deeply missed is an understatement.
Predeceased by his father Michael, he is survived by his mother, Susan; brother, Brian and his wife Jenna and niece and nephews, Teagan, Aidan, Bryce and Connor. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles cousins, extended relatives and dear friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 9:45am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church
Cremation services will take place privately.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 4-8pm in the funeral home.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Shawn English my name sake , we work together in the pass he was a wonderful man. I wish the family gods richest blessings and lay hold of his eternal love.

Shawn was a very dear friend of mine going way back, I am shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing. I will always remember Shawn as a good guy with a big heart who loved everybody. We will be holding his family and anyone effected by this tragic loss with constant prayer, knowing one day we will all meet again with no pain or suffering. John 14:1-3
