AGE: 87 • Rumson

Stefano Formica, 87, of Rumson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his home. He was born in Milazzo, Sicily in Italy to the late Salvatore and Victoria Formica. Stefano was a true craftsman and carpenter and owned a kitchen and general contracting company in Brooklyn, New York for more than 50 years. He retired to Rumson, NJ about 15 years ago.

Stefano was a humble, kind, loving and patient man who loved his wife of 63 years and his children deeply. Surviving is his beloved wife, Gaetana Maio Formica; his loving children, Salvatore Formica and his wife Debbie, Vivian and her husband Gary Casazza, and Victoria and her husband Frank Cetera, and his 6 cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Cynthia Assini and Andrew Assini, Steven Formica, Cristin Liberatore and Louis Liberatore, Jacqueline Cetera, Frankie Cetera and Vivian C. Casazza.

Visitation will be held at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven, NJ on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 11 to 1:30 PM with a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Stefano's memory to Hospice of NJ, 400 Broadacres Drive, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
