STELLA M. STANDOWSKI
AGE: 83 TUCSON, AZ
Stella M. Standowski, 83, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009. She was born in Sayreville and was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Mroczkowski) Standowski. Prior to her retirement and moving to Tucson, Stella was employed in the garment industry by Charles Komar & Sons of South Amboy for 35 years. Her family will remember her as being strong willed and independent. She loved her nieces and nephews and made it known to each one that she cared for them. Here in Tucson, Stella was a longtime volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital.
She leaves a brother, John Standowski of Jackson; nieces and nephews, Patricia Ennis-Hernandez, Barbara Khatoun and Tracey Gomez all of Tucson; Richard, Ronald and Raymond Standowski all of South Amboy, John Standowski Jr. of Houston, TX, Judy Woodward of Forked River, Lisa Smith of CO and James Stephanick of TX. She was predeceased by siblings, Richard Standowski Sr., Irene Ennis and Frank Standowski and nephew, Robert Standowski.
A Service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at All Faiths Memorial Park & Cemetery, 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary, Attn: Volunteer Services, 1601 W St. Mary's Rd., Tucson, AZ 85745 Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery. 520.888.7470
