Theresa Flanagan Obituary
AGE: 47 • Iselin
Theresa Ann Flanagan passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. She was 47 years old. Born in Newark, she was a lifelong resident of Iselin. Miss Flanagan was a toll collector for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Flanagan in 1993 and Joan Wittig Flanagan in 2005. Surviving are two sons, Anthony Roberts, Jr. and Andrew Roberts, both of Iselin; a sister, Kathleen Colon and her husband, Joseph, of Barnegat; and two nephews, Joseph and Michael Colon.
A memorial services will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 7:15 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central NJ Region, 2600 US Highway One, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.

I cant believe its been so many years years since my niece Theresa has been gone. I miss her very much. I remember all our fun times together, One time when I took he to the boardwalk, she talked me into going on a really fast ride. She said " "come on Aunt Annie, you will like it" so I hesitantly agreed.It was so scary to me I almost fainted, but Theresa loved it. Even a a kid she was full of life and so much fun to be around. I miss her greatly. My heart goes out to Kathleen, Anthony & Andrew. Love, Aunt Annie

My niece Theresa was a fun loving girl just like her Mom. She was always a joy to be around. She often stayed with me in the summer for a week or so and she loved the beach., I miss her dearly. We all do!.My heart goes out to all who loved her & still do. I look forward to seeing her again Love, Aunt Annie

I am so sad to hear that Terry is not with us any longer. All the memories I have of Terry and Kathleen when they were little girls and I'd visit from Virginia continue to be etched somewhere in my brain. It was so long ago but memories and old photographs are what we have that keep us bonded to our deceased family members. Terry is together with her parents now and they are arguing about something.
My condolences go out to her family and friends,she is thinking of you just as you are thinking of her. Our thoughts are like streams of water, flowing and surrounding her, bringing her peace.

So sorry for your loss. I knew your mother from high school and she was a good person; always laughing and smiling. And I bet that is how she was throughout her life. Always remember the good times you had together and that she is now smiling down upon you.

I have not seen or heard from her since we graduated in 1983. I remember her as an inspirational person that was so full of life back then. Yes, then is back in 1983 when she and I were so young. No, we were never close friends, but our lives crossed paths and when I read about her death on my facebook page I was moved. All of us from our class of 83 have moved on, had children, and lived our lives. What moved me, or emotionally sparked a moment, is that I remember her as such an wonderful person, full of energy and just a great person to be around. Fast forward to today and we look back and see our children and place ourselves in the shoes of her children and family. I just don't know what to say other than I remember your mom as a wonderful person and hope that your years with her were just as great. Unfortunately, I too, know the pain of losing people you are close to. I can not help you in this time of despair, but I can tell you that things will be better and if it makes you feel better, I knew your mom when she was in high school and she was an absolute wonderful person to be around.
