Thomas DeFazio Obituary
AGE: 74 • Whitehouse Station
Thomas DeFazio, age 74 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Friday, September 22, 2017 peacefully at his home.
Born in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of the late Anthony and Veronica DeFazio. Tom had lived in Manville before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1971.
He was a mechanic at Gavazzi Tire in Somerville for many years before retiring in 2004.
Tom enjoyed fishing, bingo and going to the Sands Casino but it was his love of family that defined him.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Helen (Domanski) DeFazio, his loving children, Joseph DeFazio and his wife, Penny of Hillsborough, NJ; Denise Troia of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Mary Pantano of Hillsborough, NJ; Anthony DeFazio and his wife, Lisa of Doylestown, PA; Dolores Turchi and her husband Tom of Bridgewater, NJ; Juliann DeFazio of Blandon, PA; Thomas DeFazio and his wife, Jennifer of Hillsborough, NJ; Veronica Coury and her husband, Bobby of Philipsburg, NJ; James DeFazio of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Joann Pantano of Hillsborough, NJ; Chesla Gil and her husband, Victor of Boynton Beach, FL; and Amy DeFazio of Whitehouse Station, NJ. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Catherine (Carl) Rizzo of Port Charlotte, FL, and Dolores Dermo of Cream Ridge, NJ, twenty four amazing grandchildren and four precious great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Tom, donations may be made through IN MEMORY OF for the American Heart Association at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org

When I started a new job back in 1974, the one person that came over and friended me was Tommy D. If anything was going wrong at work it was Tommy that stepped in and put us all on the right track. Tommy had an awesome sense of humor. When ever one thought they had him over a barell, guess again. His unique 6th sense kept him ahead of everyone. God bless you Tommy D. You have blessed this world with one of the most beautiful families any man would be proud of. You have also been blessed by marrying the best life partner, your beautiful wife Hellen. for you two have proved to the world that love and faith with each other will get you through the hard times and celebrate the good times. Thank you Tommy D, for you have taught me some important values on life and I am very fortunate to have had you as a friend.

I can honestly say he was an amazing man! He always had a smile on his face. He'd stop and talk to me when I would go to the store for help with my car or just for a visit. Thank you for helping us all those years!!
