Thomas Konar Obituary
Perth Amboy - Thomas John Konar, 69, of Perth Amboy, passed peacefully at his home on December 17, 2017.
Born in Newark, and formerly of Edison, he had resided in Perth Amboy for the last 15 years.
He was a former warehouse manager with L'Oreal Cosmetics, in Dayton for 30 years, before retiring in 2010.
He was a Viet Nam Veteran proudly serving his country in the US Army, and was a member of the Hopelawn, VFW.
Thomas leaves behind his beloved son, Thomas Konar Jr. of Avenel, his parents; John and Theresa Konar of Hopelawn, two brothers; John "Jack" Konar of Edison and Robert Konar of Hopelawn and a sister, Elaine Kapinos of Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
Funeral services will begin on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 9 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, entombment will follow in St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: The Wounded Warriors Project or to Have Hospice at JFK Edison. For directions or to send condolences, visit flynnfuneral.com.
