Thomas H. "Whitey" Locke

AGE: 84 • Green Brook

Thomas H. "Whitey" Locke, 84, of Green Brook, died at home on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. He was born in Plainfield and lived with his son, Scott Locke, for the past 3 ½ years. Before moving to Green Brook, Thomas lived in Watchung for almost 30 years. After graduating from Plainfield High School, Thomas went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II. After the war, he joined the Plainfield Fire Department and was a Firefighter for 38 years, until his retirement. Thomas worked for the Borough of Watchung after leaving the Plainfield Fire Department for 18 years.

Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Loretta, who died in 2005 and by his brother, Jack Locke. Surviving are 2 sons, Terence and his wife Christine of Illinois and Scott and his wife Donna of Green Brook. Thomas is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Brittany and Tory.

There will be a visitation on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave. in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Cremation is private. For further information, please visit our website at sheenanfh.com
