AGE: 94 • New Brunswick
Violet M. Decker died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home. She was 94.
Lifelong resident of New Brunswick, she was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in New Brunswick.
Her husband Chester died in 1999. Surviving are daughters, Barbara and her husband Joseph Grau of New Brunswick, Joyce and her husband John Hanson of Littleton, CO; sons, Richard and his wife Jeannette Decker of New Brunswick and William and his wife Diane Zimmerman-Decker of Acton, MA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric Decker, Todd Decker, Dawn Siegle, Erin Cook, Amy Grau, Sharon Grau, Deborah Grau, Joshua Decker. Kaitlin Decker, Jeremy Hanson, Jessica Hanson; great grandchildren, Katie Goodwin, Nina Cook, Penelope Decker and sister, Claire Czepyha.
A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Rd North Brunswick, NJ 08902, Monday from 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, Holy Family Conference, 56 Throop Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

So many memories of Aunt Vi from my childhood. Such a sweet and wonderful woman whos house was always open to anyone who came by. My condolences to the family for their loss. She will be missed by so many.

I remember Vi as being a warm and welcoming person. I always felt comfortable in her home as a friend of Billy. Rest in peace
