William Crawford Obituary
Matawan - William James Crawford, 62, of Matawan, NJ, passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at his home. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY on March 23, 1956 to the late William and Annabelle Hudson Crawford. William loved BBQing in his backyard with friends and family, traveling, trips to the city with his Irish extended family, an ice cold Magners, his dog Amber but most of all he loved his retirement from Metro North Transit. He was a loving, honest, loyal, devoted and committed father and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his loving daughters and son in law Patricia and Evan Darragh, Casandra Crawford, and Christina Crawford, a sister in law Marianne Maloney, four nieces Nicole and her husband John Vaskis, Amanda Willis, Jamie Lynn Willis, Jessica Mazzone, a nephew Joseph Willis as well as a great niece Layla Jade Vaskis. He was predeceased by his wife Tracey Crawford. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751, on Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at the funeral home at 11 am. Cremation will be private. Billy was certainly a gem. Joe and I loved being in his company, he truly lived life to the fullest. He was kind, caring, giving and sincere. An awesome father to his three beautiful daughters. He was a great friend and co-worker to all who had the privilege to be in his life. Joe and I will truly miss Billy. I send our condolences to the girls, I know how difficult it is to live without. Live your life as your Dad would want you to. May God bless you all and give you the strength one day at a time.
