BUDDY HON

BUDDY HON Buddy Lee Hon, 86, of Smithville, MO passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was born March 20, 1939 in Parkville, MO, son of Homer E. and Margaret (Corbin) Hon. He attended Parkville Public Schools; was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop 333 (Mic-O-Say) and attended the Boy Scout Jamboree of 1953. Buddy went to work for Trans World Airline (TWA) in 1963. He retired with 36 years of aircraft experience. He absolutely loved his work, great friends, good times and travel. Buddy would like to thank his closest friends, all his Chiefs friends and tailgaters, all of his show horse friends, his world class English Pointer (Tramp), his feline buddy Bromo. He had a full life, lots of fun with many good memories. He leaves behind his wife, Addie Hon; two daughters Sherry Bishop (David); Nova Hall (Jonathan); three grandchildren: Dalton Bishop (Meranda); Hayden Hall and Savannah Hall; a great granddaughter Cora Lee Bishop; a brother James B. Hon; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by both parents, a sister Joanne C. Pitcher and a brother Homer E. Hon, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025 with Pastor Michael McMullen officiating at Meyers Northland Chapel, Parkville, MO. A Committal Service with military honors will immediately follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Parkville, MO. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are suggested to American Legion Smithville, MO or Ferrelview Christian church 117 Ona St. Ferrelview, MO 64162.
