Phyllis Stevens Obituary

GALLIPOLIS FERRY — Phyllis Ann Stevens, 80, formerly of Gallipolis Ferry, went to be with the Lord and celebrate with the love of her life, Jackie, on Monday morning June 28, 2021, at Stonerise Belmont.

She was born October 30, 1940, in Mason County, a daughter of the late Worthy F. Nibert and Thelma Nibert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Jackie.

Phyllis graduated from Point Pleasant High School with the Class of 1959. She attended Pleasant View Church in Gallipolis Ferry until her health declined. Phyllis kept up with Pastor Ted's sermons through social media. She was a true example of a woman of faith that her daughters strive to be.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lesa Withers of Athens, Ohio, Lora (Larry) Hesson of Parkersburg, and Susan (Rob) Hauman of Culpeper, Va. She was loved as Gigi by her four grandchildren, TJ Withers, Samuel Hesson, Sarah Hesson and Marshall Hauman.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Beale Chapel Cemetery, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating. Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Stonerise Belmont Activity Center, c/o Jessica Buckley, 506 Riverview Drive, Belmont, WV 25134.
