John Kostick Obituary
John was born on August 12, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Lola and John Kostick Sr. He attended Hereford High School and graduated with the class of 1959. Shortly after graduating, John joined the United States Marines to serve his country.
John met the love of his life, Barbara, and they were married on June 25, 1977. They went on to have 4 beautiful children which they raised together in Chestertown, MD.
John's passion for sports was evident in his career choices. He was an Outfitter/Hunting Guide at B & J Guide Service for nearly his entire working life, beginning in 1980. In addition to his work as a guide, John was also a coach for the Kent County Public High School Trojans Baseball Team and the Kent County Mighty Mites Football Club. He also worked as a professional Umpire for the Baltimore Orioles.
John was a lifelong Baltimore Orioles fan and also loved the Baltimore Ravens, Maryland Terrapins Basketball, and the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of the Waterfowl Outfitters Association and the Collegiate Umpires Association.
John will be remembered for his John Wayne-like qualities, being good with his gun and full of grit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Kostick; 4 children, John E. Kostick (Patricia), Katherine L. Knapp (Andy), Paula Taylor (Grant), Danielle Regalbuto (Bob); a brother, Mickey Kostick (Sandy); 9 grandchildren, Courtney Kostick, Stacy Kostick, Cameron C. Knapp, Amanda Mickiewicz (Billy), Jamie Scott (Laurel), Joseph Scott, Dalton Taylor, Jordan Raniszewski (LJ), and Taylor Hesdon (John)
